The role

Casual employment, statewide

We are currently seeking motivated and qualified people to join our team in the powerline and telecommunications line maintenance service industry.

Essential requirements

Applicants must display the following:

Qualified linesman or cable joiner with proven experience (qualification required)
Qualified CERT III ESI Transmission (non-negotiable), with relevant tickets desirable, such as Working at Heights and Tower Rescue
Sound knowledge and application of workplace health and safety regulations
Effective and efficient problem solving skills
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated continuous improvement approach and the ability to support a broad variety of industrial environments
Availability to work out of town on occasions
Current driver’s licence is a must

Desirable qualifications

Any of the following would be desirable, but are not essential:

Experience as a technical optical NBN cable joiner linesman, including telephone lines
A combination of two or more qualifications in Electrician, Cable Jointer or Linesman
Truck licence and machine operating tickets
Experience in construction (and maintenance) of overhead transmission power lines
Experience with overhead telecommunications line work, including optic fibre
First Aid ticket
HV Access Permit Receiver ticket
EWP, forklift, chainsaw, riggers and excavator operator tickets
